Spaces

SCALISCRO was designed with get-togethers in mind, so throughout the lodge you’ll find plenty of natural gathering places and friendly nooks. From the clamour of 18 voices round the dinner table, to the gentle crackle of the library’s open fire, get ready to make everlasting memories together.

Dining

Gather round the table for breakfast, lunch and supper to sample the exquisite flavours of the local land – all prepared by your private chef. With commercial and family kitchens, there’s ample space to rustle up your own snacks, too.

Savour the fresh, vital taste of Hebridean lobster, tureens of steaming mussels and freshly caught salmon and trout, brightened by a spritz of lemon and a splash of chilled white wine. Or, enjoy decadent venison, estate-reared beef or honey from our very own hives.

Shared stories, honest flavours and good company – what could be more nourishing?

Toasting

You and your guests will find a selection of wines available at the lodge, including Oriana, the estate sparkling wine. This award-winning vintage is the creation of SCALISCRO’s founder, and the perfect accompaniment to fine food and company.

Of course, no trip to Lewis would be complete without a dram, so we’ve included a curation of whiskies and spirits and, if you have any specific alcohol or no-alcohol requests, we can arrange this for you before you arrive. Sláinte mhath!

Unwinding

Around the property you’ll find tastefully arrayed public spaces with beautiful details that capture the unique ambiance of the Outer Hebrides.

There’s our dramatic emerald-green library – a moody spot where you can unfurl by the fireside and pore over a book or game of chess, all with Loch Roag as your backdrop.

The soothing living room is adorned with unique artwork and a self-playing Steinway, and there’s a TV room for private screenings. Upstairs, you’ll also find a games room with a pool table - perfect for competitive types.
